The course content in the associate degree programs of the Distance Education Vocational School is enriched with educational materials such as text, animation, and audio, and is made available to students registered in our programs through the Learning Management System (LMS).
The Learning Management System is available to students 24/7. Through the LMS, students can easily follow course content and other materials related to the course. Additionally, course advisors and instructors can interact with students one-on-one and manage assignments, discussions, chats, exams, and other tasks through the system. The course content is prepared over a 14-week period, and all courses are accessible to students throughout the semester.
Exams are held in person on our campus. The criteria for course participation and evaluation, including students' involvement in assignments, discussions, viewing course content, and attending chat sessions, are monitored by course advisors and instructors as part of the student evaluation process.
Why Distance Education Vocational School?
Since it is independent of time and space, it eliminates geographical and regional barriers. It provides education and training services to students who cannot leave their hometown for various reasons and provides equal opportunities to individuals.
It eliminates additional expenses such as transportation, accommodation, shelter, and nutrition required in face-to-face education.
It provides the opportunity for disadvantaged individuals (employees, physically disabled, convicts, etc.) who do not have access to formal education to receive education.
It provides the opportunity for people with economic, geographical, social and individual differences to receive education.
Students can access electronic course content, live course recordings and other course materials 24/7 and can repeat the courses as many times as they want. Thus, it provides each student with the opportunity to learn at their own pace.
There is no attendance requirement.
Physical Conditions and Software-Hardware Infrastructure of the Vocational School
Our school has the software and hardware necessary for distance education activities.
Course presentations are made in two different ways: synchronous and asynchronous.
Asynchronous Distance Education
The basis of asynchronous education is the Learning Management System (LMS), which is a platform where students can access electronic course content and additional course materials, follow their homework and projects, participate in discussion groups, communicate with their instructors and peers, access video recordings of courses or take midterm exams. With this method, students can study according to their own learning speed and do activities according to their own timetable. The electronic course content of each course is scripted by an expert instructor and is developed as a personal learning set by our experienced instructors in content development, enriched with images, animations and interactions, and integrated into the LMS.

Synchronous Distance Education
The basis of synchronous education is the live lesson platform that will allow the instructor and students to interact simultaneously from different locations. Live lessons are held in the e-studios in our institution at the hours specified in the course program prepared at the beginning of each semester. In the live lessons held in these studios, there is sufficient hardware and software infrastructure to prevent technical problems during the lesson for the student or the instructor.
