What is the Distance Learning Exam System?

Announcements regarding exams are posted on our website. Exams are administered face-to-face in Isparta.

Midterm exams are administered as exams and assignments/projects.

Final and make-up exams are administered in classes designated by our school on the Çünür campus of Isparta University of Applied Sciences, where question booklets are distributed and the answers are marked on optical forms.

Are Online Classes Mandatory?

Attendance is not mandatory at the Distance Learning Vocational School. Attendance in online classes is not mandatory, but it is required. Students who attend online courses have been shown to be more successful.

How Are Internship Status Decisions Made for Distance Education Students?

Internships are mandatory in distance education programs. Distance education students can complete internships during the periods specified in the internship guidelines. Students who do not complete their internships cannot graduate.

Students who are employed in a job related to their enrolled program can apply for an exemption from the internship.

What happens if I don't pay the tuition?

a) Students who have paid the student contribution and tuition fee must register for courses remotely online. The advisor designated by the College for each program is also authorized to register for courses when necessary.

b) Applications for excuses for students who fail to register on time are accepted within the first two weeks of the academic semester/year. Registration renewals for students whose excuses are approved by the relevant board of directors are completed in the third week. Students who fail to renew their registration within this period cannot benefit from student rights for the semester/year they did not register for. This lost time is counted towards their academic year.

I haven't been able to pay my tuition fee, can I register for a course?

Students who haven't paid their tuition fee cannot register for a course because they haven't renew their registration.

What does "Add/Drop Week" mean?

During "Add/Drop Week," students can take new courses with the approval of their advisor and drop other courses, except for those they must repeat or take. No course changes can be made after "Add/Drop Week."

What is a GPA?

GPA, Cumulative Grade Point Average: This is a weighted grade point average calculated by multiplying the student's success grade in each course by the credit value of the course, dividing the resulting number by the total credit value of the courses. The GPA covers all semesters taken, not just the specific semester.

What is a DPA?

GPA, Term Grade Point Average: This is the weighted grade point average calculated by multiplying the student's course grades by the credit value of the course and dividing the resulting number by the total credit value of the courses.

What are the requirements for me to be considered successful?

A student with a GPA of at least 2.00 is considered successful, provided that no course is graded (FF), (FD), (NA), or (K). A student with a GPA below 2.00 is considered unsuccessful.

How do I renew my registration?

Students are required to renew their registration at the beginning of each semester and within the deadlines specified in the academic calendar by paying the tuition fee determined by the Council of Ministers. Students can renew their course registration online. Students are responsible for the entire registration renewal process and must renew their registration themselves. Students who pay their tuition before noon can register online in the afternoon, and students who pay in the afternoon can register online the following morning.
