The program aims to train qualified mid-level personnel for administrative services, particularly in healthcare institutions, as well as in other public and private organisations. It also constitutes the first stage of undergraduate education in the relevant professional field.

Graduates may apply for vertical transfer to related undergraduate programs, including Office Management and Executive Assistance and Healthcare Management, subject to the applicable regulations and admission requirements.

Professional Title Awarded to Graduates

Students who successfully complete the two-year Medical Documentation and Secretarial Studies Associate Degree Program through distance education may receive the professional title of “Healthcare Technician in Medical Documentation and Secretarial Services” in public institutions and private organisations.

Employment Opportunities

Graduates may be employed as medical secretaries in various departments of public institutions, private organisations, and healthcare facilities.

Under Decision No. 92.26.698 of the Executive Board of the Council of Higher Education, graduates holding the title of Healthcare Technician may also use the professional title of “Medical Secretary.”

Provided that they meet the relevant examination and appointment requirements for public-sector employment, graduates may work in public institutions and organisations as well as private healthcare institutions in positions such as:

  • Administrative Secretary
